The Southeastern Channel will air a live broadcast of the Southeastern Lions’ baseball matchup with Toledo at 6 pm. on Tuesday, March 6th.
For the seventh straight year and 10th time overall, the Southeastern Channel has won “Best College Television Station” honors in “Best of South” awards given by the Southeast Journalism Conference.
Southeastern Channel news reporter-producer Tara Barbe has won 4th Place for “Television Hard News Reporting” in 2017 “Best of South” competition awarded by the Southeast Journalism Conference. Also honored as “Best of the South” by the SEJC was former student reporter-anchor Jaylon Morris, who finished 9th in the “Television Feature Story Reporting” category.
Southeastern Channel reporter-anchor Jordan Rheams has been hired as News Producer by WBRZ-TV Ch. 2 (ABC) in Baton Rouge.

A Southeastern Channel live basketball broadcast production has been named fourth best in the nation by the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) at its national 2018 Festival of Media Arts student competition.
For the third time this season, the Southeastern Channel will broadcast men’s and women’s basketball games live with Saturday’s doubleheader with Abilene Christian. Pregame starts at 2 pm. for the Lady Lions and 5 pm. for the men.
