Former Southeastern Channel news anchor-reporter Paul Rivera has been hired as an anchor-reporter for WIS-TV (CBS) (DMA 73) in Columbia, South Carolina. A former award-winning anchor-reporter for the channel’s “Northshore News” student newscast, Rivera moves to WIS-TV from KLTV (CBS) in Tyler, Texas, a jump in 42 market sizes. A 2015 Southeastern graduate, Rivera was named the 2015 Student Broadcaster of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters, made up of all TV and radio stations in Louisiana.
