Former Southeastern Channel sports anchor-reporter Wesley Boone, now a sports reporter at KALB-TV Ch. 5 (NBC) in Alexandria, recently produced this feature story on Lady Lion softball signee and power hitter Briahna Bennett of Alexandria, his first sports story to air on KALB. Boone, who graduates this summer, was a national award winner multiple times for Southeastern Channel game broadcasts and “Big Game” sportscasts. He’s the reigning 2018 Louisiana Association of Broadcasters’ “Louisiana Student Broadcaster of the Year”.
