Former Southeastern Channel news reporter-anchor Tyler Waggenspack has been hired as a TV news reporter by KNOE-TV Ch. 8 (CBS/ABC) in Monroe, La. (DMA 137). Waggenspack moves to Monroe after two years as an anchor-reporter at KCWY-TV Ch. 13 (NBC) in Casper, Wyoming (DMA 198). Waggenspack will be the weekday night side reporter for KNOE doing live shots for the 10 pm. newscast. While at the Southeastern Channel Waggenspack was an award-winning reporter for the student newscast, “Northshore News,” winning “Mark of Excellence” awards for news reporting and videography given by the Society of Professional Journalists and “Best of South” honors given by the Southeast Journalism Conference.
