Former Southeastern Channel news reporter Tyler Hampton has been hired as a News Content Specialist at WAFB-TV Channel 9 (CBS) in Baton Rouge (DMA 97). As News Content Specialist, Hampton operates key studio and control room positions for WAFB newscasts including studio cameras, audio mixer, and Chyron graphics designer and operator. At the Southeastern Channel Hampton was a reporter for the national award-winning student newscast, “Northshore News” along with serving as a writer and actor for the Channel’s student comedy show, “College Night”, which recently won first place at the College Broadcasters, Inc. National Student Production Awards in Seattle. A winter 2018 graduate of Southeastern, Hampton was the videographer and editor of a variety of Southeastern Channel projects.
