Former Southeastern Channel news producer Jordan Reid has been hired as a News Producer for WDSU-TV Ch. 6 (NBC) in New Orleans (DMA 50). At WDSU Reid will be producing the 12 noon newscast. She arrives at WDSU after two years as News Producer at KATC-TV Ch. 3 (ABC) in Lafayette (DMA 121) where she produced the 5 pm. newscast. Reid was recently featured in the Southeastern Magazine and on Southeastern Louisiana University’s home page. At the Southeastern Channel Reid was producer-reporter for “Northshore News”, winning honors as the top regional newscast from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Southeast Journalism Conference. Reid also produced “College Night”, the student comedy show which won first place in the nation for Best Video Comedy given by College Broadcasters, Inc. at the 2018 National Student Production Awards in Seattle. Reid graduated from Southeastern in May of 2017.
