Former Southeastern Channel news producer-reporter-anchor Heather Rogers has been hired as a News Producer for WAFB-TV Ch. 9 (CBS) in Baton Rouge (DMA 94). At WAFB Rogers produces the 6 pm. newscast on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and both the 6 pm. and 10 pm. newscasts on Saturdays and Sundays. Rogers moves to Baton Rouge after two years as News Producer for WXXV-TV Ch. 25 (NBC/FOX) in Biloxi/Gulfport, Ms. (DMA 155). A former producer, reporter and anchor for the Southeastern Channel’s award-winning newscast, “Northshore News,” Rogers was hired as a part-time producer by WAFB while still in college before moving to Gulfport/Biloxi for her first full-time job after graduation.
