ORLEANS HIRED AS NEWS PRODUCER IN GULFPORT/BILOXI

Former Southeastern Channel news producer-reporter Kyle Orleans has been hired as a news producer for WXXV-TV Ch. 25 (FOX/NBC) in Gulfport/Biloxi, Ms. (DMA 159).  At WXXV Orleans will produce the daily 5:30 pm. and 9 pm. newscasts and will assist with the 5 pm. and 10 pm. newscasts.  While at the Southeastern Channel, Orleans produced the student newscast, “Northshore News”, named the second best college newscast in the nation by College Broadcasters, Inc. at its 2019 National Student Production Awards in St. Louis.  This year the Nov. 1, 2019 episode of “Northshore News” produced by Orleans was honored with first place for “Best TV Newscast” and also “Best of Show in TV” for the entire competition at the 2020 Louisiana-Mississippi College Broadcasters Awards.  Orleans graduated from Southeastern in May.
