Former Southeastern Channel news and sports reporter-anchor Hunter Robinson is now Multimedia Communications Specialist for the Mehlville School District in St. Louis, Mo. In his specialist position, Robinson handles all of the district’s video production and photography and also operates social media accounts, the district’s website, and internal and external email communication. In St. Louis Robinson has also been hired as a freelance Video Technician for the St. Louis Cardinals major league baseball team. Robinson moves to St. Louis from the St. Charles Parish Satellite Center in Luling, La. where he was the Advanced Television Broadcasting Facilitator from 2016 to 2019. After graduating from Southeastern in 2012, Robinson was hired as an Associate News Producer for WBRZ-TV Channel 2 (ABC) in Baton Rouge where he assembled two-hour daily morning newscasts for “2une In” before becoming Senior News Producer at WBRZ where he assembled and wrote nightly 10 pm. newscasts from 2013-2016. While at the Southeastern Channel, Robinson produced, reported and anchored for the channel’s award-winning sportscast, “The Big Game,” winning two Suncoast Student Emmy nominations, four international Videographer Awards, and a Mark of Excellence Award given by the Society of Professional Journalists for his sportscasts and packages. Robinson also anchored and reported for Northshore News and served as Play-by-Play announcer and Sideline Reporter for Southeastern Channel game broadcasts of football, basketball, baseball, and softball games.
