Former Southeastern Channel producer, videographer and editor Tyler Guidroz is currently producing daily promotional spots as Marketing Producer in the Creative Services department of WAFB-TV Ch. 9 (CBS) in Baton Rouge (DMA 93). Since joining WAFB in December 2019, Guidroz has written, produced, directed, shot and edited promos for WAFB News, including those highlighting the station’s weather coverage, traffic reporting, and winning 13 Associated Press awards. Prior to working at WAFB, Guidroz was videographer-editor for WDSU-TV Ch. 6 in New Orleans (DMA 51) where he shot and edited for WDSU’s Facebook Live broadcasts. A May 2019 Southeastern graduate, while at the Southeastern Channel Guidroz co-produced episodes of the national award-winning comedy show, “College Night”, and he wrote, directed, shot, edited and acted in multiple sketch segments for the program. Guidroz was also a videographer for live game sports broadcasts that aired nationally on ESPN-Plus, the Southland Digital Network and the Cox Sports Television Network. He shot and edited a variety of projects, including lectures and music events, and he produced several episodes of the student film show, “Cinematheque”.
