Former Southeastern Channel news reporter Lorraine Weiskopf, now a news reporter for WXXV-TV Ch. 25 (FOX/NBC) in Gulfport/Biloxi, Ms., has been providing storm coverage for Gulf Coast viewers since she began with the station last May. Her Hurricane Sally coverage included a live shot in Pascagoula and a report on Harrison County preparations for the storm. At the Southeastern Channel Weiskopf has been a reporter-anchor for the national award-winning newscast, “Northshore News”. Recently she anchored and reported for the live weekly newscast, “Northshore News Update: Coronavirus on the North Shore”, selected winner of the national College Coronavirus Coverage Award given by the Society of Professional Journalists in conjunction with College Broadcasters, Inc., the Association of Collegiate Press, and the Society for News Design.
