Former Southeastern Channel sports anchor and reporter Trey Mongrue has been hired as Sports Director and Anchor at KALB-TV Ch. 5 (NBC) in Alexandria (DMA 179). A former anchor/reporter for the national award-winning Southeastern Channel sportscast, “The Big Game”, Mongrue previously worked as Sports Anchor/Reporter at KARD/KTVE in Monroe. At the Southeastern Channel, Mongrue won Society of Professional Journalist “Mark of Excellence” honors, and he anchored “Big Game” episodes that were nominated for Emmys in 2011.
