For the seventh straight year and 10th time overall, the Southeastern Channel has won “Best College Television Station” honors in “Best of South” awards given by the Southeast Journalism Conference. The Channel finished 2nd for “Best College Television Station” and also won 2nd Place for “Best College Video News Program” for “Northshore News” from over 300 entries from 30 universities in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. The Southeastern Channel has finished either 1st or 2nd in “Best of South” competition every year since 2007, its first year to enter.
