Southeastern Channel anchor-reporter Wesley Boone has been named 2018 Louisiana Student Broadcaster of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters from all television and radio students in the state. An anchor-reporter for the “The Big Game” sportscast and play-by-play/color announcer for live sports events, Boone was presented the award at the LAB’s annual Prestige Awards ceremony at the Baton Rouge Marriott before all television and radio professionals and stations in Louisiana. The LAB has now honored a Southeastern Channel student as the state’s Student Broadcaster of the Year four of the five years the award has been given.
