Former Southeastern Channel news anchor-reporter Paul Rivera, now an anchor-reporter for WIS-TV Ch. 10 (CBS) in Columbia, S.C., will speak about working in the television news industry at 12 noon, Thursday, April 26th in University Center Room 133. While on the Southeastern Channel’s student newscast “Northshore News”, Rivera won multiple top awards, including Louisiana’s “Student Broadcaster of the Year” presented by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters made up of all TV and radio professionals in Louisiana. Before moving to South Carolina, Rivera was anchor-reporter at KLTV Ch. 7 (ABC) in Tyler, Tx.
