Former Southeastern Channel sports anchor-reporter Trey Mongrue is now Sports Director at KALB-TV Ch. 5 (NBC) in Alexandria where he covers sports in central and northern Louisiana. See this special two-part interview that Mongrue conducted with Alexandria native and former LSU star receiver, D.J. Chark, now with the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL. Before KALB Mongrue worked as Sports Anchor/Reporter at KARD/KTVE in Monroe. At the Southeastern Channel Mongrue won Society of Professional Journalist “Mark of Excellence” honors, and he anchored “Big Game” episodes nominated for student Emmys in 2011.
