Former Southeastern Channel producer-director-editor Nick Brilleaux is now a video producer in marketing for the internationally-known software company Wisetail in Bozeman, Montana, which produces learning management systems, online learning and instructor-based training. Prior to Wisetail, Brilleaux was video producer for Dinner Lab, a members-only, roving supper club that had 150,000 members in over 30 cities in the U.S. His NB Productions company also produced a variety of videos for clients across the country. While at the Southeastern Channel Brilleaux was a director-videographer-editor for the award-winning student entertainment shows “College Night” and “Cinematheque”, including his comic rockumentary, “Keymonster”. His crowning achievement at Southeastern was in 2014 when he wrote, produced, directed, shot and edited the documentary, “McCrea 1971: Louisiana’s Forgotten Rock Festival”, about the state’s disastrous attempt at a Woodstock-type festival near New Roads. The documentary won first place in the nation in the “Documentary” category at the National Student Production Awards presented by College Broadcasters, Inc. in Seattle. The doc also netted several Suncoast Emmy Awards for Brllleaux and co-producer Scott Caro. See the documentary trailer along with Brilleaux’s portfolio of work at Wisetail and the Dinner Lab here. In addition, Brilleaux recently wrote this article on video captions for Wisetail’s blog.
