Former Southeastern Channel live show director and sports producer Freddie Rosario has been hired by KALB-TV Ch. 5 (NBC) in Alexandria (DMA 179). Rosario will direct the live newscast for KALB and also handle sports videography. At the Southeastern Channel Rosario produced, anchored, shot, edited and reported for “The Big Game” sportscast, named first place Best College Sportscast in the nation by College Broadcasters, Inc. and National Finalist by the College Sports Media Awards. Rosario also directed the Channel’s live sports game broadcasts in football, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball, winning recognition from the Suncoast Emmys and Broadcast Education Association for a Southeastern basketball broadcast. At KALB Rosario joins sports director Trey Mongrue, sports reporter Wesley Boone, and news producer Tara Barbe as Southeastern Channel alumni at the station.
