Former Southeastern Channel student producer-reporter Victoria Winkles (Cristina) has been hired as Digital News Producer for WGNO-TV (ABC) Ch. 26 in New Orleans (DMA 50). There she will produce news stories for the WGNO website and all other social media platforms. In her new job Winkles will compose news stories, edit video, find images to match, and post online. She’ll also follow these stories to see what’s trending to determine what gets re-posted and shared further. A 2015 Southeastern graduate, Winkles was hired as the full-time Morning Show Producer by WAFB-TV (CBS) Ch. 9 in Baton Rouge (DMA 93) immediately upon graduation. At the Southeastern Channel she produced, anchored and reported for the national award-winning student newscast, “Northshore News”.
