Former Southeastern Channel videographer-editor Trevor Vampran has been hired as News Content Specialist at WAFB-TV Ch. 9 (CBS) in Baton Rouge (DMA 93). As News Content Specialist, Vampran operates key studio and control room positions for WAFB newscasts including studio cameras, audio mixer, and Chyron graphics designer and operator. Before joining WAFB Vampran worked as a videographer for the award-winning outdoors shows, “Paradise, Louisiana” and “Bayou Wild” airing on the Cox Sports Television network. A 2016 graduate of Southeastern, while at the Southeastern Channel Vampran videotaped and edited a variety of productions, including live sports game broadcasts, and award-winning “Northshore News”, “Big Game” and “College Night” segments. His cinematography of his music video, “Drink a Beer” by country star Luke Bryan, won a 2016 Emmy Award in the Suncoast Region of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
