Former Southeastern Channel sports anchor-reporter Chris Mycoskie has been promoted to Associate Commissioner for Broadcast and New Media for the Southland Conference. Mycoskie earlier served as Assistant Commissioner and Director of Television and Electronic Media from 2011-2017. In his new Southland role, Mycoskie acts as executive producer for all league productions and works to develop other television broadcast opportunities for the league. He oversees the conference’s video streaming efforts through the Southland Conference Digital Network and also heads the league office’s social media planning and execution. Mycoskie has a lead role in the Southland’s softball administration, working with the league’s coaches and providing guidance throughout the year. He continues as a freelance play-by-play announcer and sideline reporter for several networks, including ESPN. A 2010 Southeastern graduate, Mycoskie was anchor-reporter for “The Big Game” student sportscast while at the Southeastern Channel.
