The Southeastern Channel’s national award-winning student sportscast, The Big Game, has picked up another honor. It’s been named a Finalist for “Best Sportscast” by the Louisiana-Mississippi College Broadcasters Association awards with all schools in Louisiana and Mississippi competing. Producer-director Freddie Rosario of Luling and anchor Dylan Domangue of Houma spearheaded the honored entry. Finalist recognition means either first or second place, and the first-place winner will be announced at the AP Awards Banquet on April 6th in Jackson, Ms. Last year “The Big Game” took home the first-place award. Other Southeastern Channel finalists are Andrew Scherer of New Orleans for “Best Sports Story” and Amanda Kitch of Covington for “Best TV Reporter” and “Best Videography.”
