Southeastern Channel student sports anchor, reporter and producer Dylan Domangue has been nominated for a 2019 Suncoast Student Production Award in the Suncoast Emmy region given by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Domangue was one of only two students nominated in the “Talent” category for his On-Camera Composite which featured his anchoring and reporting work for the student sportscast, “The Big Game”, along with play-by-play, color analyst and sideline reporting for Southeastern Channel live game broadcasts of Lion football and baseball games. Domangue is currently the producer and also anchor-reporter for the live, weekly “Big Game” sportscast, which has been named first in the nation for “Best Student Sportscast” by College Broadcasters, Inc. at its National Student Production Awards competition. His sportscast has won both first and second-place Associated Press College Broadcasters awards in the Louisiana-Mississippi region. Domangue was play-by-play announcer for the live game broadcast of Southeastern’s 2018 football game with Abilene Christian, which won 4th place in the nation honors for “Best Live Game Broadcast” given by the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) at its Festival of Media Arts. Domangue has also won National Finalist (second in the nation) honors from the Society of Professional Journalists for his sports videography. He has won a prestigious Emmy scholarship for two years in a row. Domangue became the 63rd Emmy nomination in Southeastern Channel history dating back to 2005. The Channel has won 17 Emmys.
