Southeastern Channel sports anchor-reporter John Sartori will spend the summer doing play-by-play announcing in the Expedition League, the summer collegiate baseball league in the Great Plains region of the U.S. and Canada. Sartori will be doing baseball play-by-play for all home games played by the Fremont Moo of Fremont, Nebraska. He will also be doing game reports, player bios for the team website, and editing video. Sartori will begin with the Moo on Monday May 20th with the first game scheduled for May 21st. Sartori, a rising senior at the Southeastern Channel, has been doing live play-by-play for Southeastern Channel game broadcasts of Lions football, basketball, baseball, softball and soccer games for three years now. One of his basketball broadcasts was named 4th in the nation for “Live Game Broadcast” by the Broadcast Education Association at its Festival of Media Arts in 2018. The Channel game broadcasts have also streamed live on the Southland Conference Digital Network and the Cox Sports Television Network (5.5 million viewers). Sartori has also been anchor-reporter for the national award-winning student sportscast, “The Big Game”, and host of the Southeastern coach’s show, “Lion Tracks”, for three years now.
