Former Southeastern Channel producer-director Amanda Triay has won a national Silver Telly award for a Christmas promo she recently produced, directed and edited for WAFB-TV (CBS) Ch. 9 in Baton Rouge. Recently promoted to Senior Marketing Producer in the Creative Services department at WAFB, Triay’s national award-winning promos in the “Campaign-Local TV” category were for the “All I Want for Christmas is the 9News App” campaign.
Triay recently produced, shot and edited a commercial which aired during the Super Bowl and was featured in the Baton Rouge Business Report magazine. At the Southeastern Channel Triay won multiple awards for projects she wrote, produced and directed, including a student Emmy for the short film, “Insomniac”, and first-place regional awards for her short documentary, “To Speak Again” at the WorldFest International Film and Video Festival and the Mark of Excellence regional awards given by the Society of Professional Journalists.
