Former Southeastern Channel producer, videographer and editor Tyler Rogers has been hired as a videographer-editor for WDSU-TV (NBC) Ch. 6 in New Orleans and as a promotional video producer, videographer and editor for Explore St. Tammany based in Mandeville. At WDSU Rogers conducts interviews and shoots and edits stories on New Orleans events for broadcast on WDSU News and streaming on the WDSU Facebook Live page. For Explore St. Tammany, he produces, shoots and edits promotional videos for a number of St. Tammany Parish businesses, including Lakerunner Properties, a real estate firm in Mandeville. At the Southeastern Channel, Rogers co-produced an episode of the national award-winning student comedy show, “College Night”, and he wrote, directed, shot, edited and acted in multiple comedy sketch segments for the program. Rogers also produced, shot and edited promotional videos for the Southeastern Channel. He won 1st Place “Best in the South” honors in the entire southeast region of the U.S. (out of 40 universities from eight states) at the Southeast Journalism Conference for “Best Broadcast Advertising Staff Member”. In addition, Rogers was a videographer for live game sports broadcasts that aired nationally on both the Southland Digital Network and Cox Sports Television Network along with the Southeastern Channel. He shot and edited a variety of projects, including lectures and music events. Rogers graduated from Southeastern in May.
