Former Southeastern broadcasting student Jeff Horchak has been hired as News Anchor for KNOE-TV Ch. 8 (CBS/ABC) in Monroe, La. (DMA 137). AS KNOE News Anchor, Horchak anchors the 6 pm. and 10 pm. evening newscasts. Horchak moves to Monroe after five years as anchor of the award-winning morning show, “Passe’ Partout”, for KLFY-TV Ch. 10 (CBS) in Lafayette, La. At KLFY Horchak also served several years as sports anchor and sports reporter prior to joining the morning show. At KLFY Horchak provided live coverage and reporting of high-profile events such as the New Orleans Saints’ 2009 Super Bowl appearance in Miami and the tragic 2015 shooting at the Lafayette Grand Theatre. A 2003 graduate of Southeastern, Horchak initially worked as News Reporter at KLTV Ch. 7 (ABC) in Tyler, Tx. (DMA 114) followed by a stint as Sports Director at KALB-TV Ch. 5 (CBS) in Alexandria, La. (DMA 179) before moving to KLFY-TV in Lafayette (DMA 121).
