Former Southeastern Channel producer-director Amanda Triay has been promoted to Senior Marketing Producer in the Creative Services department of WAFB-TV (CBS) Ch. 9 in Baton Rouge. As Senior Marketing Producer, Triay produces, writes, shoots, edits and oversees the production of promotional spots, segments, and commercials for WAFB. She’s won a national Silver Telly award in the “Campaign-Local TV” category for a Christmas promo campaign she produced, directed and edited for WAFB entitled, “All I Want for Christmas is the 9News App”.

In 2018 Triay produced, shot and edited a commercial that aired during the Super Bowl and was featured in the Baton Rouge Business Report magazine. At the Southeastern Channel, Triay won multiple awards for projects she wrote, produced and directed, including a student Emmy for the short film, “Insomniac”, and first-place regional awards for her short documentary, “To Speak Again” at the WorldFest International Film and Video Festival and the Mark of Excellence regional awards given by the Society of Professional Journalists. Triay graduated from Southeastern in 2017.
