CHANNEL STUDENTS NAMED ASSOCIATED PRESS FINALISTS

Southeastern Channel students have been named Finalists for six awards given by the Louisiana-Mississippi Associated Press College Broadcasters.  The six finalists (top 2-3 in each category) selections are the most in television for any university in Louisiana and Mississippi. Last year the Southeastern Channel topped both states with nine Finalist selections.  This year the Finalists include Dylan Domangue and John Sartori, both honored for “Best Sports Story”; John Williams, selected for “Best Videographer”;  Kyle Orleans, Chris Rosato, and Dana DiPiazza, named for “Best Newscast” for “Northshore News”; Domangue, Sartori and Gabrielle Cox, selected for “Best Sportscast or Sports Program” for “The Big Game”; and the Southeastern Channel, honored for “General Excellence in Television.” First-place winners will be announced in April.
