Former Southeastern Channel videographer, editor, producer and motion graphics designer Drew Sagona has been hired as Marketing Producer for KAGS-TV Ch. 23 (NBC) in Bryan, Texas (DMA 79) which services the Brazos Valley cities of Bryan, College Station, Waco and Killeen. As Marketing Producer, Sagona creates spots, promos and PSAs for both client and station promotion. He also produces station IDs. Sagona writes, shoots, edits and designs graphics and animations for his segments using Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition. Sagona moved to KAGS after a stint as News Control Specialist/Assistant Newscast Director for WDAM-TV Ch. 7 (NBC/ABC) in Hattiesburg, Ms. (DMA 168). At WDAM Sagona prepared live daily newscasts by handling everything from studio floor directing to camera operation and Chyron graphics operation. For the past six years Sagona has freelanced as a Video Production Specialist and Content Writer for Brandcast Creative and Marketing of Ponchatoula. A 2015 graduate of Southeastern, Sagona’s first job after graduation was as Video Producer for Education Specialty Publishing of Mandeville. While at the Southeastern Channel, Sagona produced the documentary, “Drums Along the River”, winner of a national Videographer Award and honored by the Society of Professional Journalists with a Mark of Excellence Award. He also shot, edited, directed and created motion graphics for a variety of projects, including spots, lectures, forums, live entertainment and music events, and segments for the comedy show, “College Night”, and student film show, “Cinematheque”.
