Southeastern Channel students and programs have received four prestigious nominations for 2020 Student Production Awards from the Suncoast Emmys of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Receiving nominations are John Sartori of Mandeville in the “Talent” category for his on-camera composite, John Williams of Denham Springs in the “News: General Assignment- Light News” category for his story, “July 4th in Baton Rouge”, the student sportscast, “The Big Game” (11/21/2019 episode) in the “Sportscast” category, and the Southeastern vs. Incarnate Word football broadcast (10/12/2019) in the “Sports- Live Event” category. Sartori previously won a student Emmy for “Talent” in 2018. This year’s winners will be announced in early summer. In the past 15 years the Southeastern Channel has won 17 awards from the Emmys and 67 nominations.
