“Last Hope,” a short film produced by Southeastern Channel student filmmaker Jordan Alfred, will air on the Southeastern Channel at 9:30 pm. this coming Tuesday, June 16th. The short movie will air again at 9:30 pm. on both Friday, June 19th, and Sunday, June 21st. Alfred wrote, produced, directed, shot and edited the film drama for his senior portfolio project in the Comm 498 class in the Department of Communication and Media Studies. The plot centers on Blair, a college student whose depression causes him to contemplate suicide. The lead role of Blair is played by Jeremey Watkins while Lorraine Weiskopf and John Austin Williams appear in supporting roles. Alfred, who graduated in May, produced, directed and acted in vignettes for the national award-winning comedy show, “College Night”, while at the Southeastern Channel.
