Former Southeastern Channel producer, videographer and editor Tyler Rogers has been hired as an Executive Assistant by Maven Entertainment/John Schneider Studios in Holden, La. For films produced for the entertainment icon John Schneider (“Dukes of Hazzard”, “Smallville”, “The Haves and Have Nots”, “Dancing With the Stars”) and his company, Maven Entertainment, Rogers will provide B camera and drone operation along with video editing, He will also manage the studio calendar and merchandise sales while assisting with advertising, business marketing, and promotions. For the film “Stand On It” currently in production, Rogers is the B cameraman where he shoots drone and slow-motion shots. He also recently handled behind-the-scenes videography for the annual Bo’s Extravaganza festival in July. Rogers recently worked as a videographer-editor for WDSU-TV (NBC) Ch. 6 in New Orleans and as a promotional video producer, videographer, and editor for Explore St. Tammany based in Mandeville. While at the Southeastern Channel Rogers co-produced the national award-winning student comedy show, “College Night”, and he wrote, directed, shot, edited, and acted in multiple comedy sketch segments for the program. A May 2019 Southeastern graduate, Rogers won 1st Place “Best in the South” honors in the entire southeast region of the U.S. (eight states and 40 universities) at the Southeast Journalism Conference (SEJC) for “Best Broadcast Advertising Staff Member”. In addition, Rogers was a videographer for live game sports broadcasts that aired nationally on ESPN-Plus, the Cox Sports Television Network, the Southland Conference Digital Network, and the Southeastern Channel.
