Former Southeastern Channel news anchor-reporter Dana DiPiazza has been hired as an Entertainment Reporter for KSDK-TV Ch. 5 (NBC) in St. Louis, Mo. (DMA 23). At KSDK 5 On Your Side, DiPiazza works as a daily reporter for the 10 am. entertainment show, “Show Me St. Louis“, billed as St. Louis’ oldest live and local lifestyle show ” celebrating 26 years of positive news.” Having been in St. Louis barely a week, DiPiazza has already produced reports about learning to ice skate, the Purina Pet Parade and Wiener Dog Derby, and a list of Mardi Gras celebrations this weekend in St. Louis. DiPiazza moved to St. Louis after one year as Morning News Reporter and another as News General Assignment/Traffic Reporter at WBRZ-TV Ch. 2 (ABC) in Baton Rouge, La. (DMA 94). DiPiazza was hired by WBRZ as soon as she graduated from Southeastern in December of 2019. At the Southeastern Channel, she was a regular anchor-reporter for the national award-winning newscast, “Northshore News”, leading it to top Society of Professional Journalist (SPJ) Mark of Excellence Awards and first-place honors given by the Associated Press College Broadcasters and Southeast Journalism Conference.
