The Southeastern Channel’s live broadcast of the SLU-Nicholls State baseball game on March 25th has been honored with National Finalist recognition at the prestigious College Sports Media Awards in Atlanta, Ga. It marks the fifth time that a Southeastern Channel televised or streamed sports program has been selected by the Sports Video Group for a national CSMA award. The baseball broadcast was honored in the “Live Game Production” category in the Collegiate Student-Athletics Supported division, the second time that the Channel has had a game broadcast selected for National Finalist. The first was in 2019 with the Southeastern vs. Incarnate Word football broadcast. The baseball game broadcast was streamed live on ESPN+. Announcers for the game were play-by-play announcer Chase Gispert, color analyst Jermaine Kelly, and field reporter MacKenzie Fletcher. The director/technical director was Taylor Nettle. The audio mixer was Chris Arroyo with audio operator Alexis Genovese, replay operator Ross Chauvin, graphics operator Ian Nicoll, and video playback operator Asante Jackson, Camera operators were Alissa Kellis, Carson Fryou, Dathan Sanders, Tristyn Turner, and Faith Farris. Camera grips were Eric Brignac and Seth Schembre while Lauryn Jackson was an assistant producer and Halle Jefferson a production assistant.
