Former Southeastern Channel producer-anchor-reporter Victoria (Winkles) Cristina has been promoted to Executive Producer of Digital Content at WGNO-TV Ch. 26 (ABC) in New Orleans (DMA 50). As Executive Producer, Cristina is the leader of WGNO’s four-person Digital Team, which is responsible for WGNO.com and all associated media accounts. Cristina joined WGNO in 2018 as Digital News Producer where she produced news stories for the WGNO website and all other social media platforms. She composed news stories, edited video, found images to match and post online, and also followed the stories to see what was trending to determine what was re-posted and shared further. Immediately after graduating from Southeastern in 2015, Cristina was hired as the full-time Morning Show Producer by WAFB-TV (CBS) Ch. 9 in Baton Rouge (DMA 94) before moving to New Orleans and WGNO three years later. While at the Southeastern Channel Cristina produced, anchored, and reported for a pair of national award-winning student programs, the newscast, “Northshore News,” and the sportscast, “The Big Game.”
