For the second time in the past four years, the Southeastern Channel has won 2nd place in the nation for Best Video Newscast selected by College Broadcasters, Inc. at the National Student Production Awards in Baltimore, Md.   The June 28, 2021 episode of the channel’s student newscast, “Northshore News,” was named second best in the country out of over 1,100 entries from all colleges across the nation. “Northshore News” won 1st Place in the nation in 2021 and 2nd in the country in 2019.  The 2022 winning episode was produced by Lauren Hawkins and co-anchored by Hawkins and Trinity Brown.  Contributing news reporters were Hawkins,  Anaclaire McKneely, Taylor Nettle, Kaylor Yates, and Joliette Vincent.
