The Southeastern Channel won first place in the entire nation Saturday at the College Broadcasters, Inc. National Student Production Awards ceremony in Seattle.

Amanda Kitch of Covington, a reporter-anchor for the Southeastern Channel’s award-winning student newscast, “Northshore News”. won 2nd place in the country at the College Broadcasrters, Inc. National Student Production Awards ceremony in Seattle.
The 3/8/2018 episodes of the Southeastern Channel’s student sportscast, “The Big Game”, was named third best Student Sportscast in the country over the weekend by College Broadcasters, Inc. at their 2018 National Student Production awards in Seattle.
The public service announcements, “Proud Dad”, produced by Jeremy Gaines, and “Don’t Procrastinate”, produced by Jennifer Doss, were both honored over the weekend.
Five Southeastern Channel productions have been named National Finalists by College Broadcasters, Inc. for 2018 National Student Production Awards.
Southeastern Channel students were recently honored as winners of two Student Production Awards given by the Suncoast Emmy region of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The Southeastern Channel recently won two Bronze Telly Awards for a telecourse produced and edited by Southeastern Channel telecourse producer Jamie Bass.
The Southeastern Channel has been named to the national list of “Colleges with Great Television Stations” compiled by CollegeXPress based on its “list produced by the experts”.
The Southeastern Channel has been honored with two national Finalist awards for its student sportscast, “The Big Game”, at the College Sports Media Awards held at the Sports Video Group’s annual College Sports Summit in Atlanta.
Former Southeastern Channel sports anchor-reporters Chris Mycoskie and Kati Morse were named national Finalists recently at the College Sports Media Awards in Atlanta.
