Southeastern Channel sports reporter Taylor Nettle of Lacombe has been named Student Broadcaster of the Year in Television by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters (LAB) recently at their 2023 Prestige Awards luncheon in Baton Rouge.
SOUTHEASTERN CHANNEL WINS SECOND IN NATION
For the second time in the past four years, the Southeastern Channel has won 2nd place in the nation for Best Video Newscast selected by College Broadcasters, Inc. at the National Student Production Awards in Baltimore, Md.

CHANNEL STUDENTS WIN EMMY SCHOLARSHIPS
Four Southeastern Channel students have been named winners of the prestigious Emmy Student Scholarship given by the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the 2022-2023 academic year.
NETTLE WINS LAB SCHOLARSHIP
Southeastern Channel sophomore Taylor Nettle has won the prestigious 2022 Louisiana Association of Broadcasters Student Broadcasting Scholarship worth $4,000. Nettle was awarded the scholarship at the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters (LAB) annual Prestige Awards Gala.
NETTLE WINS PRESS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Southeastern Channel sophomore Taylor Nettle has been honored by the Press Club of New Orleans with its prestigious journalism scholarship worth $2,500 presented at its 63rd Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards ceremony.
