For the second year in a row, the student staff of the Southeastern Channel are the recipients of a Student Production Award for Best Live Sporting Event by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter.

“College Night”, the Southeastern Channel’s premiere destination for student-produced short films and sketch comedy, was recently awarded “best comedy” honors by College Broadcasters Inc.

The Southeastern Channel’s live broadcast of the SLU-Nicholls State baseball game on March 25th has been honored with National Finalist recognition at the prestigious College Sports Media Awards in Atlanta, Ga.

For the eighth time, the Southeastern Channel’s student newscast, “Northshore News”, has been named 1st Place “Best College Video Newscast in the South” out of 30 universities covering an eight-state region of the U.S., including Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

The Southeastern Channel has been honored with 1st Place in the nation in three different categories by College Broadcasters, Inc. at its 2020 National Student Production Awards ceremony.

The Southeastern Channel has been named a National Finalist as one of the top four in the nation in five different categories for the 2020 National Student Production Awards presented by College Broadcasters, Inc.

The Southeastern Channel has been honored as the best college television station in Louisiana and Mississippi by the Associated Press College Broadcasters and Media Editors.
